Job Description
seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to support enterprise application development, DevOps, and environment management initiatives. This role involves software solution design, CI/CD support, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and Agile team leadership to ensure high availability across development, test, training, and production environments.
The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong technical judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a complex, large-scale IT environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop software solutions by analyzing business needs, system workflows, and data usage.

Plan, coordinate, and manage environment setup and configuration to ensure timely delivery and risk mitigation.

Coordinate software deployments with development, DevOps, QA, operations, security, and business stakeholders.

Lead and triage complex troubleshooting efforts across hundreds of IT services and components; perform root cause analysis and documentation.

Support development and testing teams by resolving environment-related issues in dev/test environments.

Provide on-call support (including nights and weekends as needed) to maintain high availability across all environments.

Maintain and update the IT DevOps roadmap, participating in governance meetings and securing leadership approvals.

Provide Scrum Master support for DevSecOps teams, including backlog grooming, user story development, sprint planning, retrospectives, and impediment removal.

Supervise staff, assign work, mentor junior team members, and promote team productivity and collaboration.

Prepare and present complex technical and status reports related to environments, CI/CD pipelines, and technology initiatives for senior leadership.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience analyzing and resolving complex technical issues

8+ years supporting and training end users at all organizational levels

8+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD delivery models

Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP)

Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and staff supervision experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with large-scale Agile development projects

Experience with monitoring and APM tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
-
PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification

PMI-PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Technical Skills

CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Agile tools: Jira, Rally, VersionOne, or equivalent

Monitoring & observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace preferred)
